Just Do It....Live In The Present LeBron

The topic of LeBron James' still-two-years-from-now free agency, which hit a crescendo this week upon the Cleveland Cavaliers' visit to New York to play the Knicks, left one opinionated Hall of Famer pleading for James to drop the subject. Charles Barkley, in an interview on "Dan Patrick Radio," said James has no business talking about a future with another team while he's a Cavalier. "If I was LeBron James, I would shut the hell up," Barkley said in the Wednesday interview. "I'm a big LeBron fan. He's a stud. You gotta give him his props. I'm getting so annoyed he's talking about what he's going to do in two years. I think it's disrespectful to the game. I think it's disrespectful to the Cavaliers."

James, however, felt differently. "He's stupid. That's all I've got to say about that," James said Friday night before the Cavaliers' game against Golden State. Oooh perhaps Barkley hit a nerve with LeBron and LeBron realized Charles Barkley may just be right. Hmmmm........

This subject is no doubt causing quite a stir in Cleveland as well as in the NBA. I completely agree with Charles Barkley on this particular issue. Why focus on what "can" happen two years down the road? Why not just live in the present and just enjoy playing a game that you get paid millions of dollars to play? I have always been a huge LeBron James fan and next to KOBE BRYANT I do feel that LeBron is the next best player in the league but come on LeBron snap out of it! Why not stay focused and determined on the present and make your team better (like Kobe Bryant has done) in order to be a force to be reckoned with in the East? Stop your whining and play basketball like we all know you can. I mean anything can happen in life. I've seen it myself where someone gets injured and winds up in a wheelchair for the rest of their life and can no longer play anything let alone dress themselves and lead a normal life. So for now it seems that you should be grateful for what you have and just do it, live in the present and be thankful for each and every day that you have playing the greatest game ever!! If you have any comments or opinions please feel free to leave them on my blog.

Take care,
