Charlotte International Auto Show

On Saturday November 22nd Richie & I headed to Charlotte, North Carolina for the 2008 International Auto Show. Comparable to the LA Auto Show manufacturers get to show off their new models for the upcoming year. The car show also has concept cars and prototypes on display as well. This past year Ford had a really weird space aged looking thing that would've come out of the Jetsons cartoon. It was called the Airstream. Very strange looking! Ford also had a ford flex at the auto show and it was really kinda strange looking too. You can see below.

Richie & I have always loved going to these shows because it allows you to see the newer models of vehicles that are going to be coming out and updated models of vehicles that are already out. The cost is usually only $5-$7 so it is definitely an affordable outing for sure. It is something that you can also take your children too and they can sit in a cars or trucks and pretend they are driving. I loved watching the children pretend they were going to buy a certain vehicle and then get in and pretend that they were going to drive their brother or sister somewhere. It was so cute. This is sure to offer fun for the entire family. Even Spiderman showed up for the day!

The Charlotte International Auto Show is without a doubt your license to dream! I sat in everything from a loaded Lexus, to a stoked out Ford Mustang, to a roomy (and plush I might add) Jaguar, to the newer and sleek Buick Enclave, to the eye catching Nissan Murano, to the amazing GMC Acadia, and last but not least who could forget the awesome Acura TL. This car show offered over 500 vehicles and had over $40 million worth of vehicles to display. It was for sure more than the eye could see in a brief few minutes. Richie & I wound up spending a good many hours there taking pictures of cars, sitting in ones that we really were impressed with, and talking about the things we liked and or disliked about a certain vehicle. We had an awesome time and we rated the cars to our liking and below you'll see some of our top picks.

The top affordable sporty vehicle for the day we felt was the Saturn Sky. What an incredible car. This car has the wow factor all over it for sure. I remember when Richie first told me they were coming out as had heard about them in Raleigh, North Carolina before he moved out to Southern Cali. He told me that they would be compared to the Pontiac Solstice but to him the Sky actually looked much better. Now I can see what he was talking about because the Sky does look better and it is actually more affordable too for a sporty type car. So our pick once again is for the 2009 Saturn Sky. I personally think that this car will continue to get more popular as time goes on!

Richie and my top pick for a more expensive but another awesome sporty vehicle would definitely be hands down the Ford Mustang. This car offers dependability, is a car that you can count on because of how long it has been around, and has many happy customers driving around in one all over the roads today. Take a look at the new 2009 Ford Mustang.

Next we picked a top luxury family car. This just so happens to be my Mother's favorite car or at least one of them. This car has such sleek lines, and is just extremely comfortable overall. As I sat in this car I too was wishing I could take one home with me. Meet the 2009 Jaguar! It definitely lives up to it's name and with the power behind this car it definitely roars.

The most surprise pick of the auto show for Richie and I was by far the Nissan Murano. This vehicle is classified as a crossover and is rated a top best overall performer in front, side and rear tests among midsize SUV models. The Nissan Murano to me was one of the stylish crossovers at the auto show. With the 2009 Nissan Muraon LE you can get leather interior, heated and cooled seats, AWD, dual panel moonroof, navigation system with music box, and so much more. This vehicle is sure to make any person happy.

They're were many more top picks but we had to narrow them down some or else this would turn into some type of car magazine. :) Okay are you ready for Richie's and my top pick for the Charlotte International Auto Show? Our top pick......drum roll please......for the 2008 auto show is the 2009 Acura TL. If you have very special demands of a performance sedan then you may want to look into the Acura TL. This vehicle is stunning to the eye, outperforms all the others in its class and offers unbridled luxury for every passenger. It didn't matter where I sat in this car it offered roomy seating, comfort being belief, and lumbar support like I have never seen. This car was definitely awesome! I was more than impressed with this vehicle and hopefully in the future my husband and I will be able to look into purchasing one of these vehicles. It may take a little while before we can afford to buy one but until then we can at least dream and remember how pleased we were with this particular vehicle at the auto show. It was sure to leave a lasting impression!

The next auto show will be in Raleigh, North Carolina will begin February 12 at the NC State Fair grounds. The NC auto show is sure to impress with lot's of vehicles there for everyone to look at and tons of vendors there as well. The vehicle that I have been looking forward to seeing is the Chevy Camaro. This is supposed to be one awesome looking car and I can't wait to see it. Here is a picture of the brand new camaro. Doesn't it just scream drive me?!

Until next time take care and may you enjoy the wheels that you drive or may you dare to dream for the one that you want to drive someday like myself. I can still hear echoes from the TL calling my name......hehehe.
